Citroën C4 100kW You 50kWh 5dr Auto Review

The model
Read full Citroën C4 reviewThe Citroën C4 is very temptingly priced for a coupé SUV, while comfort and refinement also impress. On the minus side, you pay for its cushiness with roly-poly handling and there are more practical cars and SUVs available. Our recommended engine is the PureTech 130 petrol and mid-spec Plus is our favourite trim.
The trim
See full equipmentThis is the entry-level trim but it’s still very recommendable and comes with loads of standard equipment. Highlights include rear parking sensors, 18in alloy wheels, dual-zone automatic air conditioning and a 10in touchscreen infotainment system. It’s disappointing that it doesn’t come with an alarm, though.
The engine
See full engine specsThe e-C4 has a 50kWh battery, although its usable battery is only 45kWh. That makes it a bit smaller than many of its rivals and is why the official 211-mile range is a disappointing 139 miles in the real world. It’s not that quick, either, with a tested 0-60mph time of 9.0sec, which is absolutely fine around town but acceleration really starts to tail off between 50-70mph – bear that in mind if you do a lot of motorway driving.
