The model
Read full Volkswagen Taigo reviewIf you’re after something that’s stylish, comfortable and practical, the VW Taigo could be a great option for you. It's not as capable or fun as the Ford Puma but that’s forgivable given the superb ride, generous rear passenger space and the fact that you get plenty of toys even with our favourite entry-level version.
The trim
See full equipmentEntry-level Life trim is generously equipped, with automatic LED headlights, adaptive cruise control, front and rear parking sensors, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, rain-sensing windscreen wipers, an 8in digital driving display and a touchscreen infotainment system.
The engine
See full engine specsWe’ve yet to try the entry-level petrol engine but suspect it could be slightly underpowered because it gives you just 94bhp to play with and takes 11.1sec to get from 0-62mph. You only have the option of a five-speed manual transmission with the entry-level engine.
