What should I look for in a used Toyota Camry saloon?
The only problems we've heard reported are that the Sport models can be more prone to suspension faults as they are less able to absorb bumps. Check there are no creaks from the suspension and that the steering wheel is aligned properly when driving in a straight line.
So long as any Camry you consider buying has a full service history and is in good condition, the chances are you could buy it without any further inspection. All models come with plenty of equipment and, as they're built by Toyota, reliability is right at the top of the pile. There are no statistics from JD Power for the Camry in the UK because it's too rare to figure in the rankings, but the Camry consistently scores well in the USA, and Toyota performs well overall as a manufacturer.
