Used Suzuki Celerio 2016-2019 reliability
Category: City car
The Suzuki Celerio is frugal and surprisingly spacious. Its interior feels low-rent, but it makes a very handsome used buy
What should I look for in a used Suzuki Celerio hatchback?
The Celerio will mostly have been used in urban areas, so check the bodywork for car park-related scuffs and dents, and the wheels for any damage. Check the condition of the seats, and that they fold down and slide as they should.
What are the most common problems with a used Suzuki Celerio hatchback?
Brake failure
Reported problems with the Celerio are few, but by far the most important recall to check for is one that applies to early examples and relates to the braking system. In these cars, a faulty brake pedal was the cause of a number of failures during braking tests carried out by our other title, Autocar, and all cars were subsequently recalled to have adjustments made.
Side airbags
A bracket in the front seats of Celerios manufactured from 8 January until 28 February 2018 might not have been secured correctly at the factory, and this could lead to the airbag not deploying correctly in a collision. Find out from your nearest Suzuki dealer if your car is affected by this.
