All versions are quick, have amazing handling, and are wonderfully classy and reasonably practical inside. The Taycan is also available with one of the longest official ranges you can get – but on the down side, none of that comes cheap.
The trim
See full equipmentThe Porsche Active Ride system that's an option on lesser Taycans is standard on the range-topping Turbo GT. It leans the car into turns, rather like a motorbike, softening sideways forces to make you more comfortable. Or it can keep the car flatter so it grips harder and corners faster. The no-cost Weissach Package makes the Turbo GT 75kg lighter than a regular Turbo S, but at a cost: you lose the rear seats and the second charging port.
The engine
See full engine specsThe Turbo GT isn’t a limited-volume car, like the 911 GT3, but given how much it costs, we doubt you’ll see too many on the road. Still, that money buys you the most powerful series production Porsche ever, delivering a whopping 778bhp from its front and rear motors combined. In addition, pulling a paddle behind the steering wheel puts the Turbo GT into an 'Attack Mode', where you get 1020bhp for up to 10 seconds – matching the Tesla Model S Plaid.
