Toyota reacts to criticism of interior quality
Toyota interior quality will improve dramatically in coming years, as a result of a push to develop new materials that are both durable and high-quality.
Toyota Europe boss Didier leroy revealed the move at the recent Paris motor show, saying: ‘The DNA of Toyota demands that if you park a car in the heat of summer and leave it for two months, it must still be in perfect condition when you return. That must never change.
‘But what we’ve now found is ways to develop materials that give a fantastic sense of sensory quality without compromising durability. If we skimped on durability we’d be killed - but technology today allows us to develop materials that can deliver both.’
