Cadillac CTS Coupe unveiled
* Powered by 3.6-litre engine * Stylish looks, based on CTS saloon * May come to the UK next year...
The production version of Cadillac's stylish CTS Coupe has been unveiled ahead of its debut at the Los Angeles motor show next month.
What is it?
The CTS Coupe is aimed at a younger audience than the rest of Cadillac's range and is similar in looks to the concept car that was shown at this year's Detroit motor show.
It shares the same mechanical package as the CTS saloon, which is already sold in the UK.
Power for the standard version of the Coupe comes from a 3.6-litre V6 engine and a six-speed manual or automatic gearbox.
American buyers will have the choice between rear-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive versions. Cadillac has confirmed that a more powerful CTS-V Coupe will follow later, powered by the same 556bhp V8 engine that's in the CTS-V saloon.
No decision on UK sales yet
A Cadillac spokesman confirmed that serious consideration was being given to the introduction of the CTS Coupe in the UK, but there was no confirmation.
The spokesman said: 'It's a very interesting product, but the whole Cadillac strategy for the EU is currently being reviewed.
'The CTS Coupe is definitely part of that review, the results of which will be announced in the new year.'
