The cheaper rear-wheel-drive versions make more financial sense than the faster all-wheel-drive models, and we think entry-level Air trim offers the best value.

See full equipmentGT-Line S cars get larger 20in alloy wheels, an upgraded sound system with 14 speakers, a 360-degree parking camera, blind-spot monitoring, an augmented reality head-up display, ventilated front seats, heated outer rear seats and exterior door handles that pop out for you as you go to grab them. It’s too pricey for us to recommend, though.

See full engine specsCheaper RWD models have a single 226bhp electric motor driving the rear wheels, giving performance that’s decent rather than (ahem) electric. In our tests this version managed 0-60mph in 6.9 seconds. The official range is up to 328 miles on a full charge, but 230-270 miles in real world driving is more realistic.
