Read full Ineos Grenadier reviewDue to its prowess off-road, the Ineos Grenadier will really appeal to those who plan to spend much of their time off the beaten track, chasing a challenge as they tackle the great outdoors. If, however, you don’t aim to test your mettle on a muddy trail, we suspect the choppy ride and light steering will prove too much of a compromise to handle.
The trim
See full equipmentTrialmaster has been designed for off-roading enthusiasts and gets equipment to reflect that. On top of the standard equipment you’ll find on other versions, it gets locking front and rear differentials, a raised air intake, chunkier off-road tyres, heated wing mirrors and a few other bits to make it easier to live with.
The engine
See full engine specsThis diesel engine has less power than the petrol variant, but offers around 70lb ft of extra torque, giving you extra shove for climbing up rocks and steep inclines. That makes it ideal for those wanting to spend their time off road, but it's fairly slow compared with rivals, covering 0-62mph in 9.9sec, and quite agricultural in noise and the way it sends vibration through the steering wheel.
