Zero alcohol limit for under-21s?
* Government advisors want change * Drink-driving for under-21s too risky * Final report in February...
The Government has been advised to set a zero alcohol limit for drivers aged under 21.
According to reports in the Daily Telegraph, Home Secretary Jacqui Smith is being urged to implement the measure by the Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs.
Caroline Healy, the ACMDs chairman, said: 'People under the age of 21 should have a zero rate.
'They are inexperienced drivers and not able to tolerate alcohol, and the combination of the two is dangerous.'
The ACMD's final report will be presented to the Home Secretary next February.
