The all-electric Skoda Enyaq iV SUV boasts impressive range, a spacious tech-packed family-friendly interior and incredibly low BIK rates

The new all-electric Skoda Enyaq iV is a game-changer for company car drivers. Blending benefit-in-kind (BIK) rates from 1% and incredibly low daily running costs, it can generate big savings in annual expenses for fleet drivers.

For many company car drivers, though, going electric is a big step. Luckily, the Skoda Enyaq iV has been designed as a no-compromise all-electric SUV that’s perfect for busy work days, everyday practicality or long family holidays.

It boasts an impressive range of up to 333 miles based on the combined WLTP test cycle, as well as striking style, oodles of tech, and family-friendly space and versatility. So, here are all the key reasons why the all-electric Skoda Enyaq iV could be the perfect company car for you.

The Skoda Enyaq iV offers up to 327 miles of range, based on the combined WLTP test cycle.

Impressively low BIK costs

Thanks to its all-electric powertrain, the Skoda Enyaq iV boasts incredibly low benefit-in-kind (BIK) rates of just 1% for 2021/2022.

Opt for the Enyaq iV 60, and BIK contributions are as low as £138 per year for a 40% taxpayer, or just £69 per year for the 20% tax bracket. Even if you go for the range-topping Enyaq iV 80 SportLine, you’re still looking at BIK contributions of just £171 per year for the 40% tax bracket or just £86 per year for 20% taxpayers.

Then there’s vehicle excise duty (VED) or road tax. Like Skoda’s plug-in hybrids, the all-electric Enyaq iV is VED-exempt in the first 12 months. But, unlike plug-in hybrids, the Enyaq iV is also VED-exempt in subsequent years – saving you £145 per year compared to a plug-in hybrid, or £155 per year compared to a petrol or diesel model.

The Skoda Enyaq iV boasts incredibly low benefit-in-kind (BIK) rates of just 1% for 2021/2022.

Reduce your everyday running costs

Everyday fuel costs is another area in which the all-electric Skoda Enyaq iV delivers big savings – especially with home charging. You’ll need to fit a wallbox, but the UK government’s Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme will cover up to 75% (or up to £350) of that cost.

Charging overnight at home, a company car driver doing 10,000 miles a year in the all-electric Enyaq iV 60 Nav could cut their annual fuel bill to just £456, based on an electric tariff of 16.5p per kWh – equivalent to 4.56p per mile. That’s an annual saving of around £640 per year compared to similarly-sized diesel SUV model, or around £985 per year compared to a similarly-sized petrol SUV model.

Skoda has gone one better: teaming up with Octopus Energy to reward customers who switch to a dual-fuel supply for their home with up to 7500 free electric miles for their Enyaq iV. The tariff, which provides 100% green energy, also offers low-cost 5p/kWh rates between 00.30am and 4:30am, meaning you could charge the Enyaq iV for as little as 1p per mile.

Plus, don’t forget that all-electric cars like the Enyaq iV are exempt from urban congestion or Ultra-Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) charges. That’s another expense and hassle to tick off the list – letting you confidently drive into cities in your Enyaq iV in relaxing all-electric near silence, rather than racking up more bills or facing the inconvenience of public transport.

Extended-range Enyaq iV 80 models take just 38 minutes using the optional 125kW charging

Designed to go the distance (and more)

So, the all-electric Skoda Enyaq iV helps you cut your driving expenses. But does it make sense as a practical company car – as good at long-distance trips as it is for short everyday journeys? Electric range and on-the-go charging remain two of the biggest concerns about making the electric switch. But, the Skoda Enyaq iV’s impressive range and fast recharging capabilities mean this is no longer a worry.

Enyaq iV 60 Nav models offer a range of up to 256 miles based on the combined WLTP test cycle, while the Enyaq iV 80 offers an astonishing 333 miles. Opt for the Enyaq iV 80 SportLine, and you get a whole extra dose of added style and sporty handling, but still with a 327-mile range, based on the combined WLTP test cycle.

If you do need a quick battery boost, Enyaq iV 60 models can charge from 0-80% in just 55 minutes using a 50kW rapid public charger, or as little as 35 minutes using the optional 100kW charging capability. Extended-range Enyaq iV 80 models take just 1h10min to charge from 0% to 80% at 50kW or 38 minutes using the optional 125kW charging capability. That’s perfect for fitting around a meeting, a lunch break, a workout in the gym or family activities like shopping or a trip to the cinema.

Plus, public charging is still considerably less expensive than petrol or diesel costs – a 0-80% charge for an Enyaq iV 60 model on a 50kW charger with a 30p per kWh rate costs as little as £14.40 for a 205-mile boost of range. That’s just 7p per mile.

Skoda Enyaq iV 80 models upgrade the power to 204PS – in addition to delivering their extended 333-mile range.

Performance that electrifies every drive

Company cars shouldn’t be dreary to drive, and the Skoda Enyaq iV definitely builds on the joy of electric driving. Enyaq iV 60 Nav models boast 180PS, while Enyaq iV 80 models upgrade the power to 204PS – in addition to delivering their extended 333-mile range.

Both deliver a punchy 310Nm of instant all-electric torque, getting you from 0-62 in under 8.7 seconds – perfect for twisty hilly A-roads, confident overtaking or motorway cruising.

It’s all delivered through a rear-wheel drive layout that makes the Enyaq iV feel more sporty to drive – with range-topping Enyaq iV SportLine models adding an even-more responsive chassis and lowered suspension for even-more engaging handling.

Selectable Driving Modes let you tune your Enyaq iV to your mood, with Eco Mode restricting torque delivery and boosting regenerative braking to harvest energy for later use and improve range, while Sport Mode unleashes the Enyaq iV’s full electric potential.

The Skoda Enyaq iV's advanced digital Virtual Cockpit lets you share information between screens

A cockpit that puts you in command

The Skoda Enyaq iV certainly sets the trend for exterior style, with bold low-slung SUV-style lines and an optional Crystal Face grille and full LED Matrix beam headlights that helps you stand out from the pack. But Skoda has also used the introduction of the all-electric Enyaq iV to revolutionise its approach to car interiors – especially when it comes to the driver-focused cockpit.

The advanced digital Virtual Cockpit and a crisp 13-inch infotainment system lets you share information between screens, while Laura voice commands let you control navigation, music, calls and text messages without taking your hands off the wheel.

An optional heads-up display uses augmented reality to float key driving information right in your eyeline, for a safe and commanding view of the road, while the advanced sat-nav has been designed for electric driving – helping you easily find the right charging stations for fast or cost-effective on-the-go top-ups.

Equally, a wealth of optionally available advanced driver assistance systems make driving easier and safer. Adaptive Cruise Control and Front Assist with Predictive Pedestrian Protection help with an added eye for hazards around town and on the motorway, while a rear-view camera on the Enyaq iV 80 makes light work of parking.

When it comes to the trim, you can choose one of five interior style Design Selections – all inspired by modern living – which feature sustainably processed and recycled materials. Optional heated seats, as part of Climate Package Basic, and configurable ambient lighting make the cabin of your Enyaq iV even more luxurious and cosseting, while the optional panoramic sunroof creates an even lighter and airer feel to the car – especially on bright sunny days.

You can even interact with your Enyaq iV from your smartphone, with the Remote App letting you keep track of charging, while pre-cool or pre-heat the interior of your car from the comfort of your sofa or the convenience of the meeting room.

The Skoda Enyaq's 585-litre boot expands up to 1710 litres with the seats folded flat

Plenty of space for work, and play

A great company car needs to be suited for family life as well as work obligations, and the Skoda Enyaq iV certainly delivers on this front. Thanks to under-floor batteries and the lack of an internal combustion engine, designers have taken a no-compromise approach to interior space with every inch versatile and Simply Clever.

With a wide opening and hands-free lid, loading the 585-litre boot – which expands up to 1710 litres with the seats folded flat – is a breeze, while comfortable seating for five and Simply Clever features like an in-door umbrella and boot torch make day-to-day life that little bit easier.

Throughout the cabin, cubby spaces are in abundance with the centre console a huge 18 litres, while large door bins and clever compartments for devices like phones and tablets keep things safe and out of view. A host of USB-C ports can keep your devices topped up, too.

And if it’s a family holiday you’re looking for, a towing weight of up to 1000kg means pulling a trailer or small caravan is handled with ease, while a range of accessories - like roof rails - make lugging stuff even simpler.

So, whether you’re trying to cut your costs, help the environment, find something for the family or simply want to go electric, the Skoda Enyaq iV is a great company car.
