The new Volvo V60 estate will cost from 23,145.
That will buy the T3 ES, while the more sporty R-Design models start at 25,695, and the range-topping T6 AWD SE costs 37,895. Across the range, the V60 is just over 1000 dearer than the equivalent S60 saloon.
At launch, there will be six engines to choose from four petrol and two diesel. Both the D3 and D5 diesel engines are available with manual or automatic transmissions, with the manual versions averaging more than 50mpg.
The petrol engine range starts with the 1.6-litre T3 and T4 engines, both of which come with engine stop-start technology (when specified with a manual gearbox), and do an average 42.2mpg. Further up the range is the 2.0-litre T5, while at the top of the range sits the 3.0-litre T6 unit, which comes with only four-wheel drive and an automatic transmission.
Trims include ES, SE and SE Lux, and standard equipment across the range brings climate and cruise controls, alloy wheels, plus leather trim on the steering wheel and gearlever.
Go for SE, and you add smarter trim, an upgraded stereo, Bluetooth, and larger alloys, while SE Lux brings leather upholstery, 'bending' headlights and an electrically adjustable drivers seat.
R-Design models are expected to take 20% of V60 sales in the UK. As well as sportier styling inside and out, they get 18-inch alloys, stiffer suspension and a lower chassis for a more dynamic drive.
The cars are available to order now, and first deliveries are expected in December.
