Used cars of the week: seven-seat MPVs for less than 7000

Mazda 5

The Renault Grand Scenic is a seven-seater that's good to drive and has plenty of room in all three rows. The Grand Scenic above is a 2010 car that's done 55,000 miles. It's powered by a 1.5-litre diesel engine that returns 53.3mpg and has a generous specification that includes air-con, cruise control and sat-nav. It's priced at £6995.

Vauxhall Zafira

There's loads of Vauxhall Zafiras to choose from on the used market. Buyers choose it for its folding seats and excellent value. This 1.7 CDTi Ecoflex Exclusiv is a 2010 car with less than 40,000 miles on the clock. At £6995 it's cheap to buy and thanks to a fuel consumption figure of 55.4mpg it should also prove to be cheap to run.
