Skoda Rapid SE Connect and Sport announced
* Skoda announces two Rapid special editions * Called SE Connect and Sport * Limited numbers available, on sale now...
The Skoda Rapid has gained two new limited editions that come with generous extra equipment.
The Rapid SE Connect is based on the Rapid 1.2 TSI 86PS SE and is limited to 800 examples. It comes with the choice of two metallic paints - silver or blue - and adds 16-inch alloy wheels. It also comes with rear parking sensors, satellite-navigation and DAB digital radio.
Despite offering more equipment than the model on which it is based, it is cheaper than the 1.2 86 SE, costing £12,990, down from £14,650. With the added equipment, the SE Connect offers savings of £3665 over the standard SE.
The Rapid Sport is also based on an existing trim – the 1.2 TSI 105 SE. On top of the SE specification, it comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, tinted glass, front foglights, sports seats, steel pedals, black door mirrors and a rear spoiler.
It costs marginally more than the SE model though, at £15,630, and only 200 examples will be sold in the UK. Both cars are available to order now, with the Sport heading to owners from the beginning of February, and SE Connect deliveries starting at the beginning of March.
