Renault Zoe recalled in the UK
Just under 1000 models of the Renault Zoe have been recalled in the UK...
Almost half of Renault Zoe models worldwide have been recalled, with 999 vehicles affected in the UK.
The recall is to remove the risk of the front wheel arch liner damaging the front brake hose.
More than 18,000 Zoes are affected worldwide, which were manufactured before 6th October 2014. A total of 42,300 Zoes have been built.
A Renault spokesperson said: “As a preventive measure, the Renault dealership will inspect the position of the front wheel arch liners. In the unlikely event of an incorrect position of the liner, the liner and brake hose could require replacement.
> He continued: “The affected customers will receive a letter sent by recorded delivery inviting them to bring their vehicle to an Expert Renault Z.E. Network workshop. The maintenance work may take between a quarter of an hour, for a simple check, to 4.5 hours, if parts need to be replaced. A courtesy car will be provided if parts need to be replaced.”
The check and any work required are free of charge for the customer.
