Play online - race a real Nissan 350Z
* PlayStation teams up with Nissan * Winners will race in 24-hour event * Competition begins in May...
Nissan and computer gaming giant PlayStation have launched a Europe-wide competition that will lead to two winners racing a Nissan 350Z at a 24-hour endurance race in Dubai in January next year.
The GT Academy will pit competitors against each other in elimination competitions on and off the racetrack, starting at a national level with an online tournament.
The prize for the two winners includes a four-month training programme to earn racing licences, followed by a real-life race driving a Nissan 350Z.
The competition is part of a long-standing collaboration between Nissan and PlayStation. The car manufacturer provided vehicles, racing drivers and feedback to help perfect the game's driving simulation, while PlayStation helped design the interface for the onboard computer for Nissan's new supercar, the GT-R.
The GT Academy begins at the end of May.
Entrants must register via their PlayStation 3s on the PlayStation network to compete in the special online tournament.
