New Kia Sportage vs used Volvo XC60: verdict
The Kia Sportage is one of the best SUVs you can buy new, but would you be better off spending the same money on a one-year-old Volvo XC60 and getting a prestige badge?...
Our verdict
If your priorities lie squarely in luxury and comfort, a used XC60 is a very attractive proposition. In its interior quality, it certainly feels like a premium product. However, you’ll need to be prepared for higher day-to-day running costs, especially fuel bills.
So, does choosing the Sportage mean sacrificing lots of creature comforts? Well, no; in this high-spec trim, it’s actually better equipped. The Sportage is also sharper to drive and similarly practical. And let’s not forget its impressive warranty. While you won’t be disappointed with the XC60, we’d go for the Sportage.
