New 2013 Nissan Note unveiled
* 2013 Nissan Note * More dramatic look for UK model * On sale next spring...
This is the all-new Nissan Note, which goes on sale in 2013.
The images show the Japanese-market Note, which arrives later this year. The European version will be built at Nissan's Sunderland factory and is expected to be launched in the spring.
Although the two models will share the same metal bodywork, the European-market Note will have a more dramatic look than the Japanese car, with different bumpers, front grille and door mirrors; it will more closely resemble Nissan's Invitation concept car.
The European Note will also have an upgraded interior compared with the Japanese model, with classier materials and more high-tech features. The overall look is likely to be the same, however, with a design that's all but identical to the Invitation's.
Nissan has confirmed that the Note will be available with an Around View Monitor, which uses cameras to show the car's full surroundings and is designed to make reversing and parking easier and safer.
New Note's styling has been influenced by the Invitation concept car's
The engine line-up for the UK range hasn't been finalised, but we'd expect the Note to be available with 1.4-litre petrol and 1.5 diesel engines, plus the supercharged three-cylinder 1.2 petrol engine from the Nissan Micra.
Nissan has previously said the Note will use a lightweight platform, and that the greenest variant will emit less than 100g/km of CO2.
European Nissan Note will be produced in Sunderland
More details of the 2013 Nissan Note will be released closer to its on-sale date.
