Ford's stylish new C-Max is revealed
* New Ford C-Max MPV unveiled * On sale in the second half of 2010 * Five- and seven-seater versions...
These are the first pictures of Ford's all-new C-Max MPV, which will be launched at the Frankfurt motor show in two weeks.
The new C-Max will follow the likes of the Renault Scenic and Citroen C4 Picasso in coming as both a five- and a seven-seater. The larger car will differ from the smaller model with sliding rear side doors to make it easier to access the rearmost seats.
This C-Max marks the debut of Ford's new C-segment platform, which will form the basis of several new models, including the all-new Focus small family car due late next year.
Innovative, yet practical styling
The C-Max will go on sale in the second half of next year, with looks that are inspired by the Iosis Max concept car that was first shown at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year.
The C-Max's sweeping coupe-like roofline helps to fulfil Ford's design brief of creating an MPV that looks like a passenger car, but which retains a practical and spacious interior.
The car also marks the introduction to the Ford range of a host of new technologies, including a 1.6-litre direct-injection petrol engine, as well as semi-automatic parallel parking and blind-spot-detection systems.
