Ford B-Max revealed
* B-Max makes debut at tech show * Showcases SYNC mobile technology * Voice-operated phone and music...
The Ford B-Max has been unveiled at the 2012 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona the first vehicle ever to be revealed at a technology show.
The B-Max was revealed as a concept car at the 2011 Geneva motor show. The production version is all but identical, with the addition of door handles, an extra quarterlight, different light lenses and front grille trim the only noticeable changes.
Ford is using the technology conference to showcase its SYNC mobile phone integration system, which allows full voice control of both phone and music.
Ford of Europes chairman and ceo, Stephen Odell, said: 'The all-new B-Max is going to be a game changer in the European compact family vehicle segment.
'We think it will be among the most technologically advanced small cars you can buy at any price.'
SYNC also features Emergency Assistance, designed to respond to a crash by using the drivers connected mobile phone to call emergency services directly, in their local language, with the accident location.
