Q) I want to sell my three-year-old Mazda MX-5 privately. How do I make sure its fully insured when potential buyers test drive it? My insurance company wont insure the car for other drivers, and even if the buyer has third-party cover to drive other cars, this doesnt help me if the person damages my car!

A) Since your insurance company wont provide cover for additional drivers, its going to be up to potential buyers to arrange their own insurance. However, if the potential buyer phones their insurance company in advance, theres a good chance they will be able to temporarily add your car to their policy for a small charge.
Always ask to see proof of insurance cover before allowing anyone to test drive your car.
