BMW i7 eDrive50 Excellence (Executive Pack)
If your idea of luxury travel is to be able to forget you’re in a car at all, a chauffeur-driven BMW i7 is right up your street. Its rear seat is a private sanctuary, isolating you from even the worst the M25 can throw at you.
With smooth electric power and barely any fuss kicked up by the tyres or wind passing the windows, the i7 subjects you to very little unwanted noise on the move, while bumps from broken Tarmac feel like minor turbulence in a private jet. Even the Bentley Bentayga can’t match the sense of calm inside an i7; nor can the X7 – let alone any of the i7’s luxury saloon rivals, petrol or electric.
The £11,025 Executive Pack unlocks still greater indulgence, turning the left-hand rear seat into a chaise longue, complete with heating, ventilation and massaging. It also brings BMW’s amazing 31.3in Theatre Screen; lower the electric blinds and the i7 is the most luxurious cinema ever to orbit London.
In this spec, the i7 seats only four, with just one afforded the utmost level of decadence, so the six or seven-seat BMW X7 is a much more well-rounded luxury proposition. The i7 excels, though, when you don’t want to share the experience.
