Bentley Bentayga V8 S

What Car? Car of the Year 2025 - Motoreasy

No matter how nicely cut it might be, buying a new suit off the peg isn’t quite the same as having one tailored, and that’s how the Bentley Bentayga is different from the BMW i7 and X7. In essence, it provides similar comfort to the German cars, but where those two are built (and beautifully so), the Bentayga is more accurately described as ‘crafted’.

Because it’s much more expensive and has less room inside for stretching out, the Bentayga can’t beat the BMW X7 overall, but those who really appreciate a fine timepiece, for example, might prefer the way the Bentayga does things.

Every fibre of its interior looks and feels exquisite. The soft furnishings can be upholstered in your choice of grain and colour of leather, with a vast palette at your disposal, and there’s a dizzying array of wood and metal finishes available for the rest of the furniture.

While the X7 and i7 look more high-tech inside, the Bentayga is a joy to interact with, thanks in part to the classy metal knobs and smooth organ- stop air vent controls on the dashboard. For a discerning few, attention to detail is everything, and Bentley's luxury car is unrivalled in that regard.
