Car of the Year Awards 2025: Best 7-seater for value
An interior with space for seven people is obviously a prerequisite in this class, but we also expect an upmarket feel, sensible costs, and top-notch comfort and refinement...
Dacia Jogger 1.0 TCe 110 Expression
While the Hyundai Santa Fe is undoubtedly the best overall seven-seater on sale, the fact is that not everyone can afford to drop just over £45,000. That’s where the Dacia Jogger comes in.
Starting at £18,400, it’s less than half the price of the next cheapest seven-seater (the Skoda Kodiaq), at least until the new Citroën C3 Aircross arrives. Put simply, nothing else offers you the cubic metres per pound of the Jogger. Okay, it’s not as roomy as the Santa Fe, but it’ll accommodate seven adults in relative comfort.
The boot is massive as well. Entry-level Essential trim feels a little spartan, so it’s worth stretching your budget fractionally – if you can – to around £19,700. That bags you mid-range Expression trim with a few extra goodies and smart trim details that help to lift the interior ambience.
The turbocharged 1.0-litre petrol engine is punchy enough to keep up with traffic, while the Jogger’s supple ride makes it comfy to travel in.
At the same time, supple doesn’t mean sloppy; the Jogger’s handling may not be thrilling, but it’s certainly capable.
This is the cheapest sevenseater on sale, then, and it delivers real value for the price.
