2018 Paris motor show – all the star cars
An all-electric Mercedes SUV, Peugeot's new estate and Skoda's future family hatchback – these are the star cars on display at the Paris motor show...
Mercedes- Benz EQC
Mercedes is taking on the Jaguar I-Pace and Tesla Model X in the realm of the electric SUV. Its EQC can travel for up to 280 miles between charges, although your real-world range is likely to fall short of that. It adopts the same widescreen digital displays as the latest A-Class inside and is expected to cost around £60,000 when it goes on sale next summer.

Peugeot 508 SW
We've been generally impressed by the new 508, and this SW estate version promises to be even more practical. It provides 530 litres of boot space – 30 less than its predecessor – and more head room for rear passengers. Peugeot's i-Cockpit digital dashboard layout features inside, while engines on offer include a 1.6-litre petrol and 1.5 and 2.0-litre diesels.

Porsche Macan
Having been on sale in its current form since 2014, Porsche's smallest SUV is due for a mid-life refresh. Among the updates are new LED headlights and a new light bar that stretches across the rear. Inside, meanwhile, there's a larger 11.0in infotainment screen. A price of around £47,000 is expected.
