2015 Nissan e-NV200 seven-seat confirmed
The Nissan e-NV200 is launching as a seven-seater in July 2015...
Nissan’s electric MPV, the e-NV200, is now available with seven seats and an additional trim level.
What is it?
The e-NV200 is an electric version of the NV200 commercial vehicle. A seven-seat version goes on sale in July.
What engines can I choose from?
The MPV is available with the same electric powertrain as the Leaf and Nissan claims it has a range of 106 miles on a single charge, reaching an 80% charge from empty in 30 minutes.
How much equipment does it come with?
Range-topping Evalia trim is now available on the e-NV200 and features automatic lights and wipers, cruise control, steering-wheel mounted controls, privacy glass and a reversing camera.
It boasts 2940 litres of space in the rear with the second and third row of seats folded away, and 870 litres with all seats in place. The additional two rear seats in the third-row can be folded and stowed.
How much does it cost?
Including the government grant of £5000, prices start from £19,895, when opting to lease the battery, and from £23,400 if buying outright.
Prices go up to £27,260 for a range-topping Evalia trim seven-seat e-NV200 when buying the battery outright, including the grant. The price is reduced to £22,255 if leasing.
What are its rivals like?
In the electric MPV segment, the e-NV200 is unchallenged. There are no electric-powered rivals on the market, so it’s in a class of its own. However, buyers may still need convincing to go electric over cheaper fuel-powered alternatives such as the van-like Peugeot Partner Tepee.
